Q: What is the best thing for my kids to wear to take photos?

A: This is another very common question. Generally speaking it is best to have your children wear solid colors rather than stipes or busy patterns.

If he has on a solid color then the focus of the photograph will be his beautiful face! If he is dressed in patterns or stipes the first thing you will notice in the photo is the shirt or dress and then your childs face.

If you are having photos taken of a group it is also best to have everyone wear a similar color, although everyone doesn’t have to match exactly. If everyone has the exact same color shirt that is fine, but it is also great if everyone can wear a shade of blue, or “Fall colors,” etc.

Of course sometimes you want your childs clothes to be the focus. Maybe she has a costume or special dress. For these ocations go ahead and let the clothes take the spotlight. Afterall they are part of the memory that is being captured.
